Terms of use.

lemonindex.com is operated by Westbrook Software LLC, 4539 N 22nd St Ste R, Phoenix, AZ 85016. By using the site you agree to these terms.

The data

Our scores, recalls, crash tests and fuel-economy figures come from public U.S. government data (NHTSA and the EPA) and published sales figures. Owner complaints are owners' own reports, not confirmed defects. The site is for general information. It isn't a mechanical inspection, a repair-cost estimate or a guarantee about any car. Have a car inspected before you buy it.

Donations

Every report is free. Donations are voluntary, processed by Stripe, and don't unlock anything. See the refund policy.

Using our work

You may cite our rankings with a link to lemonindex.com (CC BY 4.0). Don't copy the site wholesale or resell it.

Limits

The site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Westbrook Software LLC isn't liable for decisions made using it. Arizona law governs these terms.
